Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaskJunky ("the Service"), including the web application at web.taskjunky.app, the iOS application, and the MCP server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TaskJunky is an AI-first task management platform that allows AI agents to create, manage, and complete tasks via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Service includes a web dashboard, iOS application, and MCP server for integration with AI tools including Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and other MCP-compatible agents.

3. Accounts

  • You must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by AI agents connected via your API keys.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. AI Agent Usage

  • You may connect AI agents to TaskJunky via MCP using API keys generated in Settings.
  • AI agents operate with the same permissions as your account. You are responsible for the actions your AI agents take within TaskJunky.
  • TaskJunky does not control or monitor the behavior of third-party AI agents. The AI provider's own terms and privacy policy govern the agent's behavior.
  • You must not use AI agents to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content within TaskJunky.

5. Subscription & Billing

Free Plan

The free plan includes up to 3 projects, 100 tasks, and 1 API key. Free plan limits may change at our discretion with reasonable notice.

Pro Plan

  • Pro subscriptions are available at $9/month or $79/year.
  • iOS subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Web subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings (web) or through App Store subscription settings (iOS).
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. iOS refund requests should be directed to Apple.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their next renewal.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without written permission.
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits that impact service quality for other users.

7. Data Ownership

  • You retain ownership of all content you create in TaskJunky (tasks, projects, lists, notes, plans, rules).
  • We do not claim ownership of your content.
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
  • You can export or delete your data at any time.

8. Service Availability

  • We aim to provide reliable, uninterrupted service but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskJunky and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently deletes all your data.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
